Toms River NJ, New Jersey native and Toms River-born filmmaker Frank Zarrillo is set to release his latest documentary film, “Gaspari.” The distribution rights for the film were acquired by Generation Iron, the #1 Fitness and Bodybuilding New York-based media company, with a release date set for November 3, 2023. The documentary premiered last year at Kevin Smith’s inaugural “Smodcastle Film Festival” in Atlantic Highlands, NJ.

“Gaspari,” directed by Frank Zarrillo, provides an in-depth look at the life of Rich Gaspari, the first-ever Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Champion and a trailblazer in the sports nutrition supplement industry. Rich Gaspari’s journey from his early years in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to becoming an iconic bodybuilder, business entrepreneur, and fitness industry leader is chronicled in the film. Notably, Gaspari was a pioneer in establishing his own supplement brand, “Gaspari Nutrition,” which became a major player in the sports nutrition industry. Now in his 60s, the documentary offers insight into the life and legacy of one of fitness’s most significant figures.

Rich Gaspari’s remarkable career in bodybuilding included notable achievements such as multiple second-place finishes in the IFBB Mr. Olympia contest during the mid-1980s, a victory at the inaugural Arnold Classic in 1989, and wins in competitions like the Grand Prix Spain, Grand Prix Germany, and Night of Champions.
